We had our wedding!

Last year, Cory and I tied the knot at the courthouse before he deployed. We always knew we'd have our actual wedding when he came home this year, and we finally did! Here are some of my favorite photos of the day...

I'll be honest with you, it was one of the most stressful days of my life. The most wonderful day, yes, but also the most stressful. Little girls dream about their wedding their entire lives, but they never dream about what could go wrong. They never dream about who might not be able to be there.

I was so grateful that each of my beautiful bridesmaids could stand up with me, and that each of Cory's handsome groomsmen could stand up with him. They were truly the glue that kept the day going - from one bridesmaid breaking some scary news to me that morning with grace, to another bridesmaid making and displaying our wedding cakes, to my maid of honor keeping the mood light, fun and supportive (literally), each of them are the reason the day kept going. Our families joined us and had a wonderful time, despite the severe weather that dampened the day (we were supposed to get married in a garden). Even though it felt like everything that could have gone wrong, did...looking back on it, it was still the best day of my life. Almost everyone I loved and almost everyone Cory loved gathered in one place to celebrate our love, and that's all that matters.

Cory and I joined in marriage on July 17th, 2021 and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
